We are the people of the mountains
A family-run agency from Thimphu sharing the Bhutan we grew up in — slowly, respectfully and with a lot of butter tea.
Since 2011
Travel that leaves the valley better than we found it
Yelha means “the mountain deity” in Dzongkha — the guardian spirit every Bhutanese village honours. We named our agency after it because we see ourselves as guardians too: of our guests’ experience, and of the culture and landscapes we are privileged to share.
Every journey is designed in Thimphu by people who have walked every trail, and hosted by guides who still go home to their family farms at harvest time.

Two brothers from Paro start guiding treks with a single borrowed Land Cruiser.

Licensed by the Tourism Council of Bhutan; our first festival journeys welcome 300 guests.

We launch our community fund, supporting village schools in Haa and Bumthang.
